The Artist Apprenticeship Project at Burnaby Art Gallery is a senior secondary student career program. For 2008 we are collaborating with local artist Jay Johnson and the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority. A temporary, site specific installation explores the overlap between community and industry at the Vancouver Port Authority. Project completion coincides with BC Youth Week.

great pictures Jay!
I thought you would all like to know that Keirsten's enclosure and Peter's standing stick circle/explosion (for lack of a better name)were still standing on Sunday morning, then someone added to Peter's, and by Tuesday it had morphed and been added to Keirsten's... sorry, no pictures, I am not that together at 7 am.
apparently there was a party and beach fire on Sunday night- this would possibly be who collaborated on moving Peter's piece?
I will try and remember my camera tommorow morning and document any remaining pieces.

You all had some really interesting things happening in just one afternoon! Can't wait to see what comes out of the next session...
